In the last week of September, ClouOnHire team outing to Gokarna embarked on a thrilling journey to explore the hidden gems of this breathtaking region. This blog will take you through our exciting trip, from celebrating a birthday to visiting scenic waterfalls, pristine beaches, and enchanting temples.
Arrival and Birthday Bash
Exploring Jog Falls and Murudeshwara
Our next stop was the Pavinakurva Hanging Bridge over the Sharavati river. The view from the bridge was mesmerizing, and it was an ideal spot for our group pictures. We couldn’t get enough of the mesmerizing views over the Sharavati River.
In the afternoon, we headed to the iconic Murudeshwara Temple, where we indulged in an annaprasada lunch within the temple premises. Post-lunch, we couldn’t resist the temptation of Murudeshwara Beach, where we spent quality time playing in the waves and enjoying the coastal breeze.

The evening was filled with delicious authentic food, bonfires, games, dancing, and laughter. It was the perfect way to end a day packed with adventure.
Boating and the Scenic Beaches
Next on the list was boating in Honnavar, a unique and thrilling experience as we explored the coastal waters. As we stepped onto the waiting boat, the gentle hum of the outboard motor signaled the start of our voyage. The boat slipped into the narrow, winding channels of the mangroves.
The dense foliage created a natural canopy, blocking out the sun, and casting enchanting shadows on the water’s surface. The silence of the mangroves was occasionally broken by the chorus of birdcalls and the distant rustling of leaves, serving as a reminder of the vibrant life that thrives within this unique ecosystem.
Eco Beach was next on our list, where we played in the gentle waves, created sand art, and captured the beauty of the beach on our cameras.
Lunch in the middle of adventure was a delight at an amazing local restaurant, serving up delicious coastal cuisine that tantalized our taste buds. Delicious food added a cherry on top of this seaside adventure.
Later in the day, we visited the famous Om Beach in Gokarna.It was a perfect spot for sunbathing, beach games, and beachcombing. Nestled in the quaint town of Gokarna, this idyllic beach has gained popularity among travelers and beach enthusiasts for its unique and symbolic shape resembling the auspicious Hindu religious symbol “Om.”
As dusk began to fall, a few adventurous souls among us decided to trek to Half Moon Beach. The dark didn’t deter them from having a unique experience under the starry sky. With torches and the sound of the waves as their companion, they ventured on this thrilling journey, leaving everyone with a story to remember.
